CASE has launched legacy giving and provides options you can use to make a long-lasting commitment to CASE. You may remember CASE in your Will while doing your estate planning or you may list CASE as a beneficiary of your retirement plan.

CASE received its first legacy pledges and introduced the CASE Scholars Society in 2019 to recognize and express our gratitude for these commitments.

Make a Gift from your IRA

Giving from your IRA: Another way of supporting and remembering CASE in your estate plan

If you currently hold an IRA, you may want to consider naming CASE as a beneficiary of the retirement plan.  This will allow you to provide a gift to CASE and then use your other assets, which are not subject to income tax, to make gifts to your family and heirs.

How it Works:

  • Name or designate CASE as a beneficiary of your IRA
  • Contact your plan administrator of the designation and what the percentage is you would like CASE to receive
  • Please tell CASE about your gift.  Your plan administrator is not required to notify us.

Benefits:

  • You can continue to take regular lifetime withdrawals
  • You maintain the flexibility to change beneficiaries if you or your family’s needs change during your lifetime
  • Your heirs avoid the possibility of double taxation on the assets left in your retirement account

CASE Celebrates Its First-Ever Endowed Fund

CASE Celebrates It's First-Ever Endowed Fund

Testimonial from a Scholars Society Member

I have benefited and continue to benefit greatly from my association and involvement with CASE. From strategy and structure for the annual fund to leading large comprehensive campaigns, CASE has been and continues to be a great source of information and sage advice/wise counsel for CASE members and staff. I have grown to more fully understand the What and the How we do advancement work, but most importantly, over my journey, I’ve discovered the Why.

We are builders of great universities and great people. We assist students in achieving their educational goals and help prepare them to be responsible, productive citizens in their communities and society. Simply put, we are multipliers, and it is my honor and privilege to have the opportunity to invest in future builders, multipliers and an organization that I love.

CASE has been a big part of my professional life for more than 30 years. I’ve learned, volunteered, contributed ideas and energy, and met lifelong friends. For those reasons, recognizing CASE in my estate plan makes compete sense. I’m glad to be able to give back to the organization that has given me so much.
